iPhone Hacks for Business Owners
It seems like every day we discover a new iPhone feature. There are so many things this pocket-sized computer can do—and some of those features are super helpful for small businesses! Here are a few features that you might not know about.
Document Scanner
Did you know that you can scan documents right from the notes app? It makes scanning documents easier than ever!
Open the Notes app
Start a new note
Tap the camera icon just above the keyboard
Tap “scan documents”
Take a photo of the documents
Adjust the corners by dragging them with your finger
Tap “save”
Text Replacement
Many people use this for shortcuts—for example you can set up typing “omw” to turn into “on my way.” However, this tool is also great for making hashtag bundles! You can set it up to turn #businessbundle into all the hashtags related to your business so you don’t have to type them out every time!
Go to settings
Tap general, then keyboard
Tap “text replacement”
Tap the + icon in the top right corner
In the phrase field, type the phrase (or hashtag bundle) you want to use
In the shortcut field, create the shortcut word you want to be replaced by the phrase
Tap save
Customize Texts
When you’re in a meeting or completing a task, you can’t always take a call. You can create “Quick Reply” texts to choose from to let the caller know why you aren’t available or when you can get back to them. Currently, there are three auto-options (“Sorry, I can’t talk right now,” “I’m on my way,” and “Can I call you later?”), but you can also add three of your own!
Go to settings
Tap “phone”
Tap “respond with text”
Choose the field you want to edit
Type in your new text
