Did You Feel That?
The absolute whiplash of all of the changes that Instagram rolled out, scaled back, or tweaked in the past week We're here to help you break it down and understand what it all means for you!
Let’s start with the updates Instagram has officially launched:
Taller grid: Most photos and videos that are uploaded to Instagram are vertical, and rectangular thumbnails show those off better. The good news? We knew this was coming, and if you’re a client, we’ve already started customizing your posts to adapt to this new style!
New bio layout: Bio sections are now easier to read and navigate.
Customizable thumbnails: This will make it easier to adapt your formerly square post images for the new grid. Don’t worry - any needed tweaks are already on our radar for our clients!
And now the ones that have been announced and that are (likely) coming soon:
Story highlights on the grid: We mentioned this in our last email, but this feature will integrate your highlights directly into your grid for more visibility.
Reorder the grid: This will give you more control over your profile by reorganizing your posts. (Very helpful if you want to keep the aesthetically pleasing posts at the top!)
Post straight to the grid: Skip the feed entirely and share content directly to your profile. While this may not seem like an everyday feature, it’s perfect for building a graphic element on your grid or highlighting specific visuals.
We hope that these updates will give us (and you) more ways to curate and customize your profile, making your content not just impactful but also visually cohesive.
Let us know what you're excited to try or if you have questions about making these updates work for you.
And if it's all too much to navigate for yourself, we’re here to help!
