Social Media Brand Guide

You need a social media brand guide. It will help you create a more cohesive social presence, and it will make it easier to design posts and write copy. It sounds fancy, but it doesn’t have to be. In fact, it can just be a piece of paper with scribbled notes. What it looks like isn’t as important as what it says. So what should be in your social brand guide?

Colors

List out your brand colors. These colors can be used to design graphics for your feed, or for creating Instagram Stories.

Fonts

Here you should name your brand fonts, but also which Instagram fonts are ok to use on your Stories and Reels.

Tone

Decide what the tone of your copy should be—words like serious, playful, or adventurous can help with the direction when you’re writing copy.

Frequency

Here, list how often you should be posting on each platform. Stories, Reels, and Lives should all be listed separately!

Hashtags

What is your core hashtag group? List all of them so that you’re not left scrambling to figure it out every time you post.
