What Should I Post?

Business owners are busy. You only have the time to come up with one post, then you share it to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. It’s certainly efficient, but is it the best strategy? Not really! Different types of content perform best on each different platform. Want to know what to post where? We’ve got you.

Instagram

Keep it casual here. People scroll through Instagram for positivity and fun—so even if you’re a serious business, you should keep it lighthearted. This is where you share behind-the-scenes photos and let your followers meet the team! When it comes to the caption, write like you’re talking to a friend—and don’t be scared to use an emoji or two!

Facebook

Engagement is king on Facebook. Because of this, make sure you’re mixing up your content to keep things interesting. Videos, audio clips, images, and gifs should all be part of your content. Your caption should include a call to action. Comment below, like if…, share this post with a friend—it’s the best way to keep your audience engaged and seeing your posts.

LinkedIn

Sometimes less is more, and that’s true for LinkedIn! You don’t need to share graphics, images, or videos—good copy is all you need! Keep the tone professional and direct. Share something you learned in your industry, copy and paste the most interesting part of an article you recently read, or share something you or a teammate accomplished.

Twitter

We’re gonna be honest—unless you already have a large audience, you probably don’t need to be on Twitter.
