4 Tips for Your Website

If it’s been a minute since you’ve refreshed your website, it’s probably time to take a look at it. There may not be a need for a huge overhaul, but you might need to make a few minor changes throughout the year. Here are four website updates you should consider:

Update your about page

Has your brand or business changed at all? Are those changes reflected in your about page? Could the language be fresher? Are your photos up-to-date? This is the page people turn to in order to learn about the personality behind your brand. Make sure that it tells the right story!

Check your links

Visit every page of your website and click around! You want to make sure there are no broken links or incorrect redirects. Customers can get frustrated when they have to search around on your website, so make sure every link takes them where they are expecting to go.

Refresh your voice

Does the tone of your copy fit your current brand? Is it written with SEO in mind? Are you using calls-to-action effectively? Think about how you would read your website as a potential customer, and make adjustments based on what you think your target audience is looking for.

Rename your images

This task can be time consuming, but when your website starts popping up on search engines more often, it will be worth it! Rename all the images on your website with important keywords (and add a location tag if you have the time) to increase your SEO.

These updates may seem like a lot of work, but the end result is worth it. If you don’t have the time, but you know your website needs a refresh, let’s chat!
